Egypt

Our daughter Joyce is fascinated by mysteries and she wanted to see the treasures of Tut-Anch-Amon and his tomb and the pyramids of Egypt. So in April/May 2005 we booked a vacation for 9 days to Egypt to see the wonders of the world (that is, one of them) for ourselves. We arrived in Cairo and went to see the pyramids of Gizeh. So beautiful, you cannot imagine how tough it must have been to build these giant tombs, without having tools or equipment and machinery like e.g. bulldozers.
Also we went to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to adore and observe the golden treasures, that were found in Tut's tomb. It is a true miracle, that the tomb wasn't robbed when Howard Carter discovered it in 1926. While waiting in the bus at the entry of the Museum, people paniced in the streets. We didn't know what was going on, there was police everywhere. Later on, we found out that a tourist bus had been bombed at the station. It could have been us (we were there just 5 minuts earlier), so we were very lucky not getting killed that day! We thank the guardian angel that was on our shoulders at that moment!
We also got to see Tut-Anch-Amons tomb at the Valley of the Kings and made a cruise on the Nile.
