Copenhagen, Denmark

Because of the worldwide pandemy Covid-19 or corona, our annual journey to a far away destinaton has been cancelled. Traveling has been restricted this year and many destinations or even whole countries closed their borders for tourists from abroad. In August 2020 my DH and I had planned a 4 day citytrip to Copenhagen, and just 7 days before departure, Denmark opened its borders for foreignors, provided that they spend at least 6 nights in their country. So we added another 2 nights to our citrytrip and off we went. We stayed from August 3 -9 2020 at the Cabin Hotel.

Copenhagen is nearby, it takes only 90 minutes to get there by air and as the weather was great during our whole stay, we had a great time. We went to see the little mermaid statue in the harbour, we went strolling along the colorful houses of Nyhavn, we went to several musea and even visited the panda's in the zoo. As the rules for avoiding corona contermination weren't that strict in Denmark at that time, we were able to go out for dinner every night and enjoyed lots of cappuccinos at the terrasses. Copenhagen is definitively worth a visit, but make sure to book an airconditioned room during summer.
